\nSongs, arias and ensembles by Amy Beach, Lili Boulanger, Pauline Viardot & Maria Malibran<\/p>\n

In this unique recital, VPR pays tribute to four women composers whose genius and persistence overcame the odds:\u00a0 celebrated 19th<\/sup>\u00a0opera diva sisters Maria Malibran and Pauline Viardot, American composer and concert pianist Amy Marcy Cheney Beach, and the tragically short-lived, but deeply influential Lili Boulanger.\u00a0 Included in our program – courtesy of Women\u2019s Philharmonic Advocacy\u2019s kind permission to use their new engraving – will be the first known public hearing of Amy Beach\u2019s unpublished song \u201cIf Women Will Not Be Inclined.\u201d<\/p>\n
