WOMEN OF SALT AND LONGING

Mezzo soprano Judith Barnes offers a meditation in music and movement on physical and spiritual homes loved and lost. Traversing the psyches of women who depart, exiled or forbidden, navigating a shifting landscape, singing of death and transfiguration, an exile’s farewell, a lamentation for a widowed city, she turns back for one last look, immured in a world of salt and longing.
