The Athenian farmer Trygaeus journeys up to Mount Olympus on a flying dung beetle to petition the gods to end the war. When he gets there, he finds that they are sick and tired of humanity, and have all gone away, leaving Ares, the god of war, and his sidekick Tumult in charge, with Hermes to clean up the mess. The Goddess Peace has been abducted and buried in a pit. Plied by copious amounts of wine, Hermes agrees to accompany Trygaeus on a quest to rescue Peace.<\/h4>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
