The Granite Prospect
Brooklyn, New YorkVPR celebrates its history on the Brooklyn waterfront with WATER MUSIC, a free concert of excerpts from past VPR productions that share a waterfront theme. Staged at water’s edge on the panoramic Granite Prospect at Brooklyn Bridge Park, the evening moves from the explosive world of Brooklyn longshoremen in Bolcom’s A View From the Bridge to the hypnotic shadows of Puccini’s Il Tabarro, and on to the shimmering lights of nighttime Venice in Offenbach’s fantastical Les contes d’Hoffmann.
