Richard Strauss’s great opera Der Rosenkavalier was originally entitled Baron Ochs von Lerchenau. How was the Baron Deprived of his claim to the opera’s title? Join the disgruntled Baron Ochs at Vertical Player Repertory to listen to the Baron tell his side of the story and hear some of the most glorious operatic ensembles ever written. Substantial excerpts from the opera are staged in period costume with an original narration written by Isidore Elias and performed by Tony Award nominee Paul Hecht as Baron Ochs.
